Here's a video made at Langar by Jack Tew, recently graduated from Staffs University. The skydiving footage was all provided by Swoop. The short was Winner of Fresh Film Awards Best Documentary at the BFI, South Bank London. It might take time to load, so bear with it...

British Championships Medal Winners!
Langar jumpers have made an excellent showing at the
2010 British National Skydiving Championships:

Team Ch4os gained a convincing gold medal in Rookie class,
11 points ahead of the second place team. L-R: Kate Medd, Marcus Beck,
Keiron O'Rourke, Pete McLaughlin, John Baggaley (camera)

In 'A' class, Full Stop were the Gold Medallists, with an even greater lead
of 19 points over the silver medallists! L-R: Kyle Price, Milko, Cath Anderson, Sian Stokes, Scott McKenzie (camera). Marcus replaced Martyn Score at the last minute when Martyn dislocated a shoulder in training just days before the competition.

they are both greatly missed by all their friends and colleagues.

Dave Lewis's 3000th skydive...

...as a tandem 'student' with Billy Payn, and in formation, too! Nice one!
People have commented that we don't show pictures of dives they were on - that's coz the cameraflyer(s) involved didn't give us any. We're always after nice pix from anybody who's got them
- just let us know what you've got!
Swoop always takes lots of piccies and gives us lots - so there are lots of his images; here's some more:

Dave Lewis's 3001st dive!

Matt Black (freefall camera with Dave Lewis this weekend) and
Tony D with his full camera setup on a Sky[Shot] helmet.

Kyle Price, Cath Anderson, Sian Stokes and Milko on their second training

And quite a few Langar skydivers taking part:

Good luck to all the Brits in Russia!

Matt Sweeney has been competing in Canopy Piloting and has gained sixth places in both the Black Mountain meet in Belgium and the German Open, and 5th place in the British National competition.

Neil Doar clings onto Papa Sierra and Nick clings on to Chris. Don't ask.

Gareth Thomas checks what to do next,
and Tony D considers the advantages of being in a different aircraft...

The skydiving bits from the Sky Sports News HD advert were filmed at Langar by Tony Danbury. Billy Payn did the stunts and Milko set the whole thing up.
Here's the ad on YouTube:
Billy also provided the camera for the job - have a look at the size of this(!):

There's some extra gizmology in the bag on Tone's chest, too!
Wot we did at the weekend:
It was almost Go Horizontal what with the wind and all,
but they did some good stuff:

This Russian-made wing is a reserve! Andrew's planning to have his vintage collection available to jump using modern rigs and reserves
when he's finished the rigging work.
