International Womens' Day 2025
IWD provides a great opportunity to celebrate the women who inspire us every day. In a sport where females are still under-represented, we are doing all we can to create a welcoming environment where all people feel safe and comfortable, and where skydiving can be accessible to all.
This International Womens' Day, we're inviting you to help us celebrate women and to share in the stories of women in skydiving, in the hope of encouraging more women to get involved.
It's not just about inspiring women; this is about celebrating everyone who wants to jump and saying, let's do it!

We asked female skydivers to tell us about the women who have inspired them. Here are a few of their comments:

What to expect when you start skydiving
Skydiving is a sport which welcomes people from all backgrounds to face their fears, overcome their challenges and do something incredible, whether it's a new hobby or a one-off experience.
Tandem skydiving is the most popular way to experience our sport for the first time. Attached to one of our highly experienced skydiving instructors, you'll travel up to 14,000 feet before jumping out for an exhilerating 50 seconds of freefall and around 5 minutes of flying around under the parachute.
You'll be ready to make your tandem skydive after a short brief and the whole experience, weather permitting, takes no more than a couple of hours. You can elect to add a video and photo package.
AFF is the most popular way to learn to skydive and stands for Accelerated Freefall. You'll complete a day of 'ground school' and then spend the rest of the week, weather permitting, completing your jumps. It takes a minimum of 18 jumps to complete the full course and achieve your skydiving A licence.
